Fashion and photography are undoubtedly closely related. Being a fashion fanatic, I can clearly see the vivid similarities between these two realms which necessitate pure creativity, a fresh outlook and a strong acumen for distinctiveness. All these leads to an exquisite craftsmanship from which you can’t take your eyes off! It definitely takes a talented photographer to be able to tell a story through his photographs. The fashion world would be incomplete without photography. Today, the exposure to fashion photography is vast, we see it not only through editorial shoots in magazines or campaigns but it’s also prevailing across the web.
Something special about this blog post is that the photographs you see here have been taken by a professional photographer, Minesh Ramchurn (check out his FB page for more of his works). Remarkably unlike the usual snaps I post! The difference is indeed huge! Style blogger problem number 1: you need to post outfit photos every now and then on the blog otherwise watch your google analytics statistics drop like a rock from a cliff! The thing with photographers is that they have an eye for amazing pictures which leads to thriving outcomes. I’ve had the opportunity to do photoshoots with a few professional photographers; it’s like they have that perfect shot already framed in their minds and they would do whatever it takes to make it come to life. And guess what, the final result always leaves you speechless!
So next time you are having a photoshoot, do whatever the photographer tells you because daaamn, he surely knows what he is talking about! They use their DSLR cameras like magic wands, having the power to make things appear more interesting and beautiful. Another thing is that, a photoshoot requires a lot of energy and equipment, from choosing poses to setting up proper lighting and incorporating props, it’s definitely not the average selfies or pictures we take from our phones or digital cameras (no comparison!).
For this photoshoot, I chose to wear an outfit which would suit the concept of editorial shoot. There is nothing classier than black and white, don’t you think so? I paired my favorite ivory shirt with a black tulle skirt, classic black pumps, a statement necklace, matching earrings and a silver cuff. It was nicely coordinated with the atmosphere reigning in the city that day; amidst the skyscrapers and blue sky.
Check out the amazing photos below! Much love to you all!
