Throwback to my NYE Outfit

Throwback to my NYE Outfit

Hello loves! I’m sure you are all already missing that festive mood of the holiday season and I know it’s a bit late to post about NYE but I’ve been such a busy bee lately. All good times come to an end and we have to get back to the routine again. It’s life! Anyway, I had an amazing family time on New Year’s Eve. You might not believe it but it was really hard for me to find an outfit for that day. I went shopping at the last minute and as it always happen with last minute shopping, you never find anything to your taste. That was so disappointing!

Have you noticed that when you badly need a good outfit for an important event, it’s always hard to find that one dress which you had in mind in the first place? I mean, you have the money to buy it, the time to choose and you go to the largest mall but you end up buying nothing. That was my case when I went out to buy my New Year’s Eve outfit. Let me tell you the reason for that last minute shopping: I was actually waiting to receive an online package of the dress I wanted to wear on that day which eventually didn’t come to me on time. So I had no choice than to go shopping or wear something which I already had.

When I came back empty handed from that frustrating shopping experience, I stood in front of my wardrobe, trying to find something I could wear which doesn’t look very common. I definitely didn’t want a little black dress because come on, it’s NYE and I would rather go for something sparkly and different. Luckily, I finally found that grey slip shimmering top which I bought two months back while I was doing shopping for work outfits. I was more than happy to find out that this could be an option as I never wore that top before. I just had to find the right bottom. I tried it with several skirts, pants and I settled on my black flare skirt which looked perfect when I tucked the top inside. I wore it with my statement gladiator sandals to make the look more appealing and I wore my silver multi-layer beaded choker which really matched with the sparkles on my top. As make-up, I chose glittery grey and black eyeshadow for subtle smoky eyes and of course we cannot celebrate New Year’s Eve without the classic red lips. I also used my Remy hair extensions on that day. How long did I take to get ready? Well, nearly 2 hours! Hihi.

So that was the little story behind my New Year’s Eve outfit. Hope you had a wonderful time on that day as well! By the way I have to tell you that I received 3 outfits which I will be posting on the blog very soon hopefully. Please bear with me as I try to manage my time as effectively as possible.

Sending you love and positive vibes! Xoxo

You looked lovely at NYE, and I agree, NYE called for a classic red lip. I also hate it when I go shopping for an outfit and can’t find what I want, I always come away in a bad mood.
