Spring 2016 Trends: Sneak Peek for next year

Red Prom Dresses

I dedicate this one to all fashion girls who are trend followers. This is just awesome; but girls don’t forget about your own style before following a trend. Like in my case, some trends do not suit my personality and style. So, I’m cautious before jumping on the next fashion trend. After analyzing the Spring Summer 2016 collections, straight from the runways, I’ve come up with 10 of the best fashion trends which await you the next season.

  1. Naked Shoulders

Shoulders will be in the limelight this season. Seduction at its best I would say! I personally love off-the-shoulder outfits. The summer Spring 2016 collections focused on the off-the-shoulder tops with cross necklines. We’ve seen it on the runway with Givenchy, Jason Wu, Proenza Schouler and Derek Lam among others.

  1. Swingy Fringes

Yay, this is my favorite one and guess what; it’s here to stay for a while. At the very thought of the fringe trends taking its last breath, designers found new ways to bring them back. Thanks to Valentino, Christopher Kane, Alexander Wang, Anna Sui, Diane Von Furstenberg, just to name a few.

  1. Get in the Net

Models were caught in the designer net outfits by Marchesa, Alexander Wang, Proenza Schouler… What can be more sexy and playful than the nets! I think they look amazingly stylish.

  1. Denim love

We can never get enough of denims, can we? Neither can the designers. Jean dresses, shorts and skirts were down on the runway put forward by Gabriela Hearst, Jil Sander Navy, Cushnie et Ochs and Suno. Get ready for more sophisticated versions of denims!

  1. Have fun with Plaids

Plaids are not just for fall! With the blown out patterns and large plaids, designers have made a way for plaids to adapt to certain personalities. Spotted on the runway by several designers such as Victoria Beckham, Chanel, Celine, Hermes, Christian Dior, Zac Posen, Marc Jacobs among others.

  1. Puffy Sleeves

The Victorian era influences can be felt with the puffy sleeves, high-collar necklines and loads of flowers. A trend which definitely brings us back in time thanks to Erdem, Fendi, J.W.Anderson, Miu Miu and many more.

  1. Silky Silk

What better fabric than silk for a sensual touch? Flowy and sexy, it moves along with the body as seen on the runway with Calvin Klein and Givenchy. One of the most promising trends! We ladies love the touch of silk on our bodies!

  1. Playful Pleats

This time pleats are taking over and being worn from head to toe. I’m loving these teeny-tiny folds which definitely looks elegant. I love the collection by Stella McCartney, Gucci, Tome and Sonia Rykiel, just to name a few. Let’s be playful!

  1. Colors everywhere

Can we spend summer without colors? A big NO for sure! Bright colors made the statement for the summer spring 2016 collections. Multiple colors were shining on the runways with shades of orange, blue, green and red seen at the shows by Ralph Lauren, Altuzarra, Kenzo, Paul Smith, Micheal Kors and many more.

  1. Back to the 90s

Ah the decade in which I was born! Numerous designers came up with the 90s style again on the summer spring 2016 runways. I must say that the 90s styles are really worth it! Revisited by Alexander Wang, DKNY and Nina Ricci.
