I’ve always been the kind of girl who is not afraid to take risks in any sphere of life! Getting out of the comfort zone is surely a challenge but I have an eclectic approach to it. I hate confining myself when it comes to trying out new things. The same goes for the outfits I wear! Though you might have noticed that I love to wear black and white, it doesn’t mean that I don’t like to attempt other colors. In fact I’m surprised by the way I feel inspired by some shades. For instance, I’ve been longing to wear bolder colors lately and cobalt blue is definitely one of the boldest.
Electric and bright, it is a fashion trend that has no boundaries and it looks great when teamed with a variety of accents and colors. This hue has the power to uplift the mood instantly! I really enjoyed styling this bodycon royal blue dress with different statement accessories and by mixing trends. I wanted something that stands out of the blue tone, so I opted for the nude color scarf to contrast with the dress. When it comes to scarves, I look for sheer simplicity when the weather is warmer, saving the heavy knits for the winter wardrobe.
According to me, the chicest choice as far as the shoes are concerned for this dress, is the lace-up nude sandals which match the scarf. I’m currently crushing on tinsel earrings. I paired the dress with a white one to bring out the contrasting effect again and wore my white ice watch to complete the casual look. For make-up, I had nothing crazy; just some brown eyeshadows to bring some dimension to the eyes and glossy pink lips to change from the usual matte lipsticks I wear. I also curled my hair and I love it this way though it took me quite long to get the curls on fleek. Sometimes getting out of the comfort zone even if it’s just for dressing up can be so exciting. It makes you feel like a whole new person again!
The truth is: I love challenges and I’ve noticed that being under pressure makes me more productive. It’s certainly nerve-racking but it gets me going as there is no time for procrastination. I remember how I used to procrastinate during college days and I always ended up studying at the last minute for exams. When there was only two days left before the exam, I studied until 4am to literally complete the whole syllabus. A real challenge! (If you are a student, please don’t be like me!). Yet, it didn’t prevent me to pass with flying colors and the level of self-satisfaction I felt after that was mind-boggling. The point is: everybody is unique and have their own way of doing things. Each of us works differently, applying diverse methods to reach one outcome and all the methods are right as long as they lead to the expected result.
Have a great week loves! Sending you lots of love and positivity! I’m all excited to leave for my next getaway this week! I’ll surely share my adventures with you all! Till then, join me on snapchat and instagram for some fun 😉 (username: huntature).
