I’ve been really skeptical about flare pants since it became the new trend in town few months back. As much as I like to be fashionable, I’m also very fussy about which fashion trend to follow; because let’s face it, new trends pop up every now and then, and it’s impossible to follow all of them. The thing is, not all the trends suit everyone’s personality and style. Being a fashion lover is absolutely fine as it does not mean gorging yourself with all the new trends like fashion victims do.
Some fashion pieces are better off on the ramp than in real life. Even celebrities fall under the fashion police eyes for trying too hard. For me, the key is really to stick to my own style and add a touch of originality by incorporating a trend. It’s true that I love playing dress up and try out new stuffs but what I look for when choosing an outfit is whether it suits not only my body shape but also my personality. Being fun, girly and full of life are things that I always want to project when I wear an outfit and I must say that it works pretty well for me. Dressing up definitely defines the kind of person you are. As far as I’m concerned, it is indispensable that it reflects my true personality. I actually hate it when people say: “don’t bother about dressing up because that’s not important”. I wish I could give them a lecture about it because dammn, if dressing up was not important, we would just be walking around in our pajamas!
For the time being, I’m loving the 90’s vibes in the fashion world. With the advent of crop tops, high waist pants and skirts, flare pants are also having their fashion moment. I’ve been quite reluctant about it because the skinny style is what I prefer. May be, it’s just because I’ve been so used to skinny jeans and pants for the last few years. I only remember wearing flare jeans back in 2002 when I was still in high school. So I finally decided to take the leap of faith and go for it with this printed high-waist flare pants and crop top which come together as a two-piece outfit. To my surprise, I totally loved the way it looked after I wore it. The fabric is soft and it’s very comfy: just perfect for a casual day-out. After this one, I really look forward to try out some more flare pants.
Ps: I’m wearing the REMY hair extensions for this post. Obsessed with them these days!
Hope you like this look! Comment and let me know 🙂 xoxo
